 The Carlsbad Village Theatre is a multi-purpose auditorium that provides a unique historical venue for a variety of live entertainment, cinema, business and community events, such as:

The Theatre was built in 1927 and is located in the popular Carlsbad Village commercial area.  The historic uses have ranged from the original black/white silent movies and vaudeville productions to the more contemporary uses shown above.  A summary of the actual contemporary uses are described in "Prior Events" section herein.

A major renovation to the Theatre was completed in January 2000.  This recent renovation included new carpet, drapes, seats, cinema screen, title curtain, lighting, "Bil-Jax" staging system, and many ancillary upgrades.  There are 294 fixed theater style seats plus 36 movable chair seats (330 seats total).  A more particular description of the Theatre premises and amenities are described in the Auditorium Floor Plan/Cinema & Video/Audio/Stage & Lighting pages herein.

The Theatre auditorium is available on an Event Rental basis.  The specific rental rate is commensurate with the Use, Date, and Time of the event.
